The shape of this vase was called “Liuyeping” which means the “willow leaf vase” during the Qing Dinasty (1644-1912). Since Antiquity, the willow tree has been known for its powerful healing properties. We know now that these kind of vases were used to store salicin, the same chemical element used in modern aspirin.
