Carl-Harry Stålhane’s unique ceramic art gained significant recognition in the late 1950s, culminating in a notable exhibition at Galerie Blanche in Stockholm in 1960. This exhibition featured dark, robust stoneware pieces, which were celebrated as a “rebellion against perfectionism” and marked the beginning of a defining style for Stålhane in the 1960s, characterized by the use of local clays.
