Arthur Andersson

Arthur Andersson (-1978) was a Swedish ceramist who became famous for his work at Wallåkra Stenkärlsfabrik between the 50s and the 70s. After the death of his father who previously owned the company, Arthur and his brother Stig shared the ownership until their own death respectively in 1978 and 1976. Under their management and artistic direction, Wallåkra gained a solid reputation and prosperity. Andersson’s work is recognisable through its stretched oval designs and incised decorations.
